Accomplished pianist, saxophonist, singer/songwriter-composer-arranger -
this young lady from the mystical but modern Nordic country of Finland
interprets her modern songs with a pop tendency, while her influence
from Jazz remains strongly evident. Petra holds degrees for saxophone
from the American School of Modern Music in Paris and for piano
from the conservatory in Finland.
In solo or with a band, her music portrays a combination of natural,
gentle sweetness and vigour. Her saxophone solos give life to voluptuous
phrasing and a powerful expression of relaying happy moments of her life,
leading to pleasantly surpising musical moments.
In Paris, Petra plays in many prestigious venues such as New Morning,
Sunset, Duc des Lombards and Palais de la Découverte. She is often invited
to perform in Parisian luxury hotels such as the Ritz, Hilton, and
Hotel California. She also gives concerts all around France: in Cannes,
Courchevel, Touquet…
In the beginning of her career, Petra often appeared on TV and radio in
her native Finland. After moving to France, she continues to work
internationally in Italy, Switzerland, Dubai, and the USA.
Everywhere she performs, she captivates audiences with charming melodies
of her compositions and her soulful music.
